Shayna Vincent is the founder and Executive Director of the Esther Funds Foundation and a proud graduate of Florida A&M University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. Originally from Tampa, Florida, Shayna is a published author and educator with a deep commitment to equity, access, and student success.
As a dedicated member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated, Shayna embodies the values of leadership, service, and academic excellence. Her journey to graduation was not without challenges. Throughout high school and early college, Shayna faced significant barriers, including navigating higher education without adequate guidance, which led to multiple interruptions in her academic path.
Rather than allowing these experiences to define her, Shayna transformed them into purpose. Her lived experiences fostered a deep empathy for college students facing financial hardship, mental health challenges, and lack of support. These barriers often contribute to students leaving college before earning a degree.
Motivated by her own journey, Shayna founded Esther Funds Foundation with the mission of supporting students through college and helping them persist to graduation. She believes that when students are supported through critical moments in their educational journey, entire communities benefit. Her vision is rooted in the belief that education is a pathway to opportunity, stability, and long term impact.
Shayna is a strong advocate for college retention and graduation. She leads Esther Funds Foundation with the guiding principle Every Future Fulfilled, a reflection of her commitment to ensuring students are not left behind due to circumstances beyond their control.
A graduate of Hillsborough Community College and Florida A&M University, Shayna is a living testament to resilience, perseverance, and the transformative power of education. Through Esther Funds Foundation, she continues to work toward changing the world one college student at a time by providing the resources, support, and hope students need to succeed.
