Chapter one · Where EFF began

Some of us almost didn’t finish.

Shayna Vincent entered college without strong guidance on FAFSA, scholarships or financial support. She left college more than once. She came back, and in 2025 she graduated from Florida A&M University. EFF is built around the students who are where she was.
